Homicide Desk Walkthrough Hub

Homicide Desk is a single-player detective OS. Shu’la Lab LLC released it on Steam on September 1, 2026. You sit at a CRT-era desktop in Ravenport, Republic of Meridia, Major Crimes Unit. A file lands. You read it, run the lab, type questions, write a deduction, then decide whether Arrest Warrant is ready. This hub is the process map. It does not name a killer for Case #001, The Overtime.

How a case actually moves

There are no waypoints and no dialogue trees. Captain Morrison, or a pressure email, assigns the file. Open Case Files and work nested folders: reports, statements, photos, receipts, voicemail. The Forensics Lab is not an Analyze button. You align the print, break the cipher, and calibrate against the clock. Scene photos take a UV pass. CCTV wants timestamps flagged. Phone records want calls cross-checked against the taskbar clock.

Pin people, places, and objects on the Investigation Board. String connections keep a theory honest. When you talk, type the question and slide a document across the table. A local model phrases the reply; the facts stay hand-written. Push on nothing and the suspect lawyers up. Offer a Break or Request Dossier if you have salary. Sealed folders sometimes open only after the right exchange.

Launch cases ship with multiple guilty-party variants. Reopen a closed file and the truth can change. This wiki will describe the setup of Case #001, The Overtime — Vanta Systems HQ in Eastdock, Server Room B, 17 March 2024 at 21:47, a 41-year-old principal engineer, no forced entry, sister Dana Reeves, a sealed strongbox, a voicemail about invoices and proof in his box — and it will never name who killed Marcus Reeves. If a comment names a charge, treat it as one run, not the run.

Training is different. Case #000, The Pawnshop Key, is the onboarding robbery. Steam screenshots already show the close: Tommy Vale arrested, training closed and field-certified, the Longines returned to Edwin Hollis. Fair to mention. Not a template for homicides.
