Homicide Desk Updates Hub

Shu’la Lab LLC opened Homicide Desk on Steam on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The store post was titled HOMICIDE DESK IS OUT NOW. The desk went live at $5.99 with a 17 percent introductory discount through 15 September. Developers posting as Iraqi and saioufe thanked demo players, wishlisters, and bug reporters in the same feed.

What shipped on day one

Retail is the same Windows-only, single-player detective OS the demo previewed as a robbery tutorial. Case #000, The Pawnshop Key still stars Tommy Vale and still teaches the desk before a homicide. Interrogation is free-text. Forensics is timed work you do by hand. Wrong arrests open Internal Affairs. Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and 22 achievements shipped. There is no multiplayer.

A later post that Tuesday announced 1,000 players. It is a thank-you, not a new case. It repeats the launch promise: more cases, investigation tools, and precinct apps are planned. No dates were attached. This wiki will not invent them.

Launch-week patches (summary)

Some PCs black-screened on boot. A launch-day hotfix went out, then 1.3.4 and 1.3.7 as further black-screen fixes. If the desktop is still dark, verify files and confirm the latest depot before you file a new report.

1.3.8 is the localization pass. Every case is fully translated in all ten interface languages. Tutorial overlays on Case #000 had been missing for French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Turkish, so those players saw English. The patch also back-filled later-added lines in cases 001 — 03 that only Arabic had received, including the arrest-warrant charge line. This page will not name Case #001’s killer. Warrant process is on charging.

1.3.9 is the quit fix. Closing the window used to leave ollama.exe or llama-server.exe running, so Steam still listed the game as in-session. After 1.3.9 the process should die with the window. If it does not, check Task Manager before assuming a new regression.

Roadmap language, not a schedule

Shu’la Lab has said new cases, tools, and apps are coming. That is the entire public roadmap. There is no Trello and no dated 1.4 drop on this page. When a Steam news post ships something named, it will appear on the patch notes with that version.

Pre-launch still matters if you bounced off the demo. The announcement trailer is on the studio YouTube channel. A demo update tightened suspect knowledge and consistency. Onboarding moved to the in-game phone; HR messages replaced popups. The interrogation and forensics guides assume that patched desk.

How to stay current

Let Steam auto-update — launch week moved fast. Read the patch notes when the version corner jumps. Confirm hardware on system requirements (about 13 GB because the model is local). New detectives should use Getting Started rather than a homicide cold; the Guides Hub and Walkthrough Hub cover process, not spoilers. File bugs on Steam discussions, Discord, or devs@shulalab.com. Homicide Desk is released, not early access. Future cases will arrive as patches. Until Shu’la Lab names a new file in a changelog, this hub keeps the launch-week record instead of guessing a calendar.
